How I approach engineering.
Model the domain first
Before frameworks, I get the data model and the vocabulary right. Most long-term maintenance cost comes from schemas and contracts that never matched the business.
Own the whole path to production
Writing the feature is half the job. Containers, pipelines, environments, logs and rollbacks are part of what I deliver, not somebody else's problem.
Optimise for the next engineer
Readable code, documented APIs and reviewable migrations. I write for the person who inherits the repository often that person is me, a year later.
